Nashua, NH (February 28, 2012). BAE Systems has awarded $5,000.00 to the Nashua Education Foundation (NEF). The donation supports NEF’s mission to provide resources that enhance educational and enrichment opportunities for Nashua public school students.
“We at the Foundation are excited by BAE’s support. This gift helps strengthen our ability to support innovative and enriching programs throughout the school district,” says Tim Hogan, chair of the fundraising committee of the group. “These programs are not part of the school district’s operating budget, and as such have a tremendous impact on the educational offerings to students.”
“At a time when funding and revenue sources are scarce, and demands for competitive educational opportunities are on a steep rise, this gift will assure that certain educational enhancements and projects actually happen,” comments Dr. Ron Kraus, chair of the foundation. “A commitment from one of Nashua’s greatest community partners, BAE Systems, is incredibly heartening and received with a great deal of enthusiasm.”
“Supporting educational outreach efforts is critical to BAE Systems.” said Lu Goncalves-Getty, Director of Strategic Philanthropy at BAE Systems, “Our partnership with the Nashua Education Foundation is mutually beneficial, allowing BAE Systems to support our future workforce and helping the NEF enhance their offerings to area students.”
The Nashua Education Foundation is an independent 501(c) (3) organization that provides resources to support innovative programs that enhance learning opportunities for Nashua Public School students.
